It is being reported that Apple have begun refunding iPhone 4 users the cost of bumper cases and going forward, will give them away free of charge to future iPhone 4 customers.
For what seems like weeks now Apple have been bombarded with complaints relating to the death grip, which refers to the loss of signal when holding the phone a certain way, thus the bumper case.
When the iPhone 4 is in the bumper case the antenna is not compromised, no matter how the phone is held which means that the phone works properly, like it is supposed too.
The cases in question cost $29, and those who have already purchased one will be getting a refund, probably to their iTunes account.
Apple estimate that more than 3.5 million iPhone 4 handsets have been sold so far since they launched the new model.
