Belkin launches new stylish cases for the iPhone 4 that make it easier to access and use your iPhone no matter how you carry it. Since the iPhone owner is constantly on the go from place to place and likes to stay always connected, Belkin has designed cases that not only complement this mobile lifestyle, but also cater to the different ways an iPhone is carried. We’ve identified five main ways people carry their iPhone: in a pocket, in the hand, in a bag, on themselves, and while being active.
For those carrying their iPhone in their pocket, Belkin’s slim cases are easy to grip, they slide in and out of a pocket smoothly, and they provide impact protection from everyday drops. For those who keep their iPhone in hand at all times, they will appreciate our line of cases that are comfortable to hold, shock-absorbing, and easy to grip. Belkin has also created cases that make your iPhone easy to find within the interiors of a travel bag or purse and protect it against constant contact with other items.
Belkin recognizes that people typically either carry their iPhone or they wear it. To accommodate either person, Belkin offers cases that range from armbands to belt buckles, making the iPhone easy to access for intermittent use.

Smaller, brighter, longer-lasting iPhone 4 unveiled

At the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco today, Apple CEO Steve Jobs introduced the new iPhone 4. Jobs said the fourth generation of iPhone has over one hundred new features including a higher resolution display, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, HD Video recording, Apple’s A4 processor and longer battery life.
Although packed with more features such as Retina display with 960 x 640 pixel resolution and a second microphone (for noise cancellation), the redesigned iPhone is 24% thinner – 9.3 millimeters – than the iPhone 3GS leading to Apple’s claim that it is the “thinnest smart phone on the planet.”
Perhaps the two most notable new features of the new iPhone are more power and more talk time. The new A4 processor, the same one found in the iPad, gives the iPhone 4 more computing power and according to Apple, an improved battery delivers up to seven hours of talk time on 3G networks, up to 10 hours of web browsing on Wi-Fi and up to six hours on 3G, and up to 10 hours of video playback and up to 40 hours of audio playback.
The iPhone 4 will arrive with an new operating system, iOS 4 whose new features include Multitasking, Folders, enhanced Mail and more Enterprise support. Multitasking, allows users to switch between any of their apps, while folders will allow iPhone owner to organize their apps into collections by dragging one app on top of another. A folder is automatically created and named based on the category of apps selected. Users can change the name of any folder at any time.
The iPhone 4 will come in either black or white in 16GB and 32GB for $199 and $299 respectively. The device will be available in the US, France, Germany, Japan and the UK on June 24. Canada, along with seventeen other countries will have to wait until the end of July for their iPhone. The worldwide roll-out to 88 more countries will happen at the end of September.

iPhone 4 announced at WWDC

Steve Jobs announced the 4th version of the iPhone at a keynote at WWDC.

Steve was pretty happy about it. He talked about the many features such as the Retina Display. This multi-touch screen has four times as many pixels compared to the previous iPhone display.

Of course, we already knew about the stainless steel frame, black glass, and additional front facing camera from that whole Gizmodo leak a while ago.

So, if you want it, you will need to wait until June 24th. The 16GB version is $199, and the 32GB is about $299.

Walmart starts stocking iPhone 4

Apple’s iPhone 4 will be launched in the US and a few other markets on June 25 (this Friday). If you’re wondering where in the US you will be able to find it besides AT&T and Apple stores, one of the answers includes Walmart.

According to Engadget, the American retailer has already received some iPhone 4 units.

The photo below, showing an iPhone 4 box, was allegedly taken in a Walmart store. And, although Verizon might get the new iPhone later this year, that box seen in the back, with CDMA written on it, has nothing to do with Apple’s smartphone (it packs LG C290C phones).

100 New Features For Recent iPhones

For owners of the iPhone 3G and 3GS, the iOS 4 update will help supercharge the older model iPhones until an owner is ready to trade up to the iPhone 4. The upgrade also changes the iPhone 4′s signal software. The iOS 4 update brings a host of new features.

Smart folders allow apps to be clustered together with other similar apps in a single folder. The change helps to clear up the home screen, which previously may have been cluttered with too many apps. Up to 2,160 apps can be managed in the smart folders. Smart folders provide a chance to categorize all of the apps, without losing access to any of them.

Originally, wallpapers could only be set on the lock screen. With iOS 4, iPhone owners will also be able to customize their home screens as well. Both the lock screen and the home screen are able to have their own wallpapers. The wallpapers bring a little bit more personalization to each iPhone.

The email inbox has been reworked to accept multiple inboxes from different email accounts. Multiple Exchange accounts can be added. Emails can be sorted by threads as well.

A more useful spell check function will provide less intrusive protection against errors than the previous auto correct.

5x zoom is provided for cameras, although since it is a digital zoom, picture quality will degrade.

Perhaps the most important iOS 4 change, multitasking arrives. The new version of multitasking allows both Apple apps and third-party apps to be multitasked.

Along with these iOS 4 upgrades, over 100 other new features are available. The iOS 4 update is completely free and available to the iPhone 4, 3GS and 3G. The iOS 4 will help owners continue to fully enjoy their older model iPhones for absolutely no cost.

Apple iPhone 3G

Apple has started to reduce the amount of 3G stock it holds with the new model being rumoured to be on its way imminently. This can be seen in the way that Apple in the US have lifted the ban on more than one iPhone being sold to one customer. the ban was meant to reduce the risk of a large amount of their stock being unlocked and moved from network to network. Before Apple sold them abroad there was a huge demand for unlocked iPhones.

The phone has been a huge hit in the UK, with many additional 3'rd party apps now becoming available for it.

Apple are clearly leading the way in development and intergration of it's own apps and 3'rd party apps.

The iPhone 3G comes in two colours, Balck and White.

The next iPhone is expected to hit the market by around August 2009.

iPhone 4 Available for Pre-order at Best Buy Tomorrow

On June 15, 2010, the iPhone 4 becomes available for pre-order at Apple.com, AT&T stores and Best Buy. Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile standalone stores across the U.S. will begin offering the latest iPhone for pre-order starting tomorrow, ahead of its June 24, 2010 release date.

The new iPhone, which was announced last week at WWDC, will be available for $199 for a 16GB version and $299 for a 32GB version for new AT&T customers or current customers who qualify for the lowest upgrade pricing. In addition to featuring a faster processor and the iOS 4 software, the iPhone 4 will also features a brand new higher-resolution screen.

By pre-ordering before the June 24 release date, consumers can help avoid some of the sell-out frenzy that goes along the release of an Apple product. Assuming you don’t need to get a phone as soon as they go on sale, you could even avoid some of sure-to-be-long lines and stroll in later in the day for pick-up.

In the past, pre-ordering an iPhone at a Best Buy store has required a $50 deposit, but it’s unclear if that will be required this time. Depending on the foot traffic of your local Best Buy, AT&T and Apple stores, Best Buy may end up being one of the fastest places to get in and get out.

Will you be pre-ordering a new iPhone tomorrow? If so, where will you be placing your pre-order? Let us know!

How to: pre-order the iPhone 4 (update: third-party retailers best avoided)

It's now less than twenty-four hours until pre-orders for the iPhone 4 kick off, magic is in the air, and you're feeling good -- but where (and how) do you get your name in the system? There'd be nothing more tragic than waking up on the 24th only to discover that your phone isn't arriving on launch day, so let's get things squared away right now so you know what you need to do tomorrow morning.
Follow the break for everything you need to know!
The most painless way (most likely) will be to pre-order online from the comfort of your home at Apple's site, because you'll be guaranteed delivery on launch day without any hassles of dealing with lines, riots, or uninformed sales clerks. The big question is when exactly the pre-orders will go live, and at this point, no one knows for sure. In all likelihood, it'll happen after the typical "we'll be back soon" outage, but it's unclear whether that'll happen around midnight or tomorrow morning during business hours. Our advice is to hold out until after midnight Eastern tonight, but if you're not at least greeted with "we'll be back soon," hit the sack and get up early. For comparison, iPad pre-orders kicked off at 5:30AM Pacific Time, so we wouldn't be surprised to see the iPhone 4 do the same. You can go into a physical Apple Store if you really want to, but we're being told that you'll just be directed to a computer to go through Apple's website anyway, so there's really no point.
You'll also be able to pre-order in AT&T stores tomorrow, but as far as we can tell, this is going to be a pretty unsavory option -- you'll be required to have your credit card authorized for the full amount upfront, and according to the locations we contacted, you won't even be guaranteed availability on launch day; instead, you'll need to wait until the 25th for some bizarre reason. AT&T's website seems to be a better option, with June 24 delivery available to both consumer and business customers. The carrier won't disclose to us what time pre-orders will start, so keep an eye out.
Major third-party retailers will be getting in on the action, too:
RadioShack will be accepting pre-orders in stores for a $50 deposit, which will come off the price of the phone when you pick it up; they're throwing in an accessory credit, too (basically the same setup as the EVO 4G launch). Stores will be opening at their normal times tomorrow, but some locations will be opening early on launch day.
Best Buy is the same deal, basically -- $50 deposit taken in-store at the regular opening time, with most locations opening early on launch day.
Walmart seems to be pretty clueless about the situation; though they're confirmed for a June 24 launch, we weren't able to find any sales clerks at any of the locations we contacted that knew how, or if, pre-orders would be taken tomorrow (two didn't even know there was a new iPhone, and instead insisted we were referring to the $97 deal on the 3GS). Bottom line: only get in touch with these guys tomorrow as an absolute last resort.
So, what's everyone's game plan?

iPhone 4 Up For Pre-Order — Black Only

Henry Ford once famously said, “Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black.” The same can now be said for the iPhone 4.

Just moments ago, Apple’s latest mobile device was put up for pre-sale on Apple’s Online Store. But as was rumored, it’s only available for pre-order in black. As the store notes, “White iPhone currently unavailable for pre-order or in-store pickup.” They don’t give an estimate as to when the white one will be available, but it will undoubtedly be at some point this Summer.

Meanwhile, if you want the black one, you can pre-order it now. As expected, it’s $199 for the 16 GB version, and $299 for the 32 GB version (assuming you sign a new two-year contract with AT&T for each). The phones will be delivered on June 24, or available for in-store pick-up if you choose that option.

You can also pick up the last-generation iPhone 3GS (8 GB) for $99 now — it too will be available in stores on June 24.

Update: There are numerous reports of failures when people try to pre-order the new phone. There seems to be some sort of hang-up on AT&T’s end. But if you order the phone through AT&T’s website I’m told it’s working (but you have to have it delivered).

iPhone 4 Now Available for Pre-Order

I have a hard time believing that iPhone 4 demand crashed the servers.
If you want your iPhone 4 to be black, you can now pre-order it from Apple’s website for $199 (16 GB model) or $299 (32 GB model), together with the good old 8GB iPhone 3GS which is now $99 with a two-year contract with AT&T. Pre-orders are limited to two per customer.

Although Apple put the pre-order page up in the middle of the night (U.S. time), it still caused enough interest to suffocate Apple’s servers, so you might experience slow loading times, with the page at times being completely unavailable.

Pre-orders are also available in the UK and France, but these stores are down at the time of this writing. Once they’re back, customers will be able to buy an unlocked iPhone 4 which starts at £499 in the UK and €629 in France.
