Sony Play Station 3 Upgrade

Gamers in Japan have something to look forward to as Sony have just announced plans to release a version of their PlayStation 3 with increased memory capability.
Currently consumers can purchase the 120-gigabyte videogame system for 341 bucks, but now bigger harddrives will be offered for not that much more money.
Coming at the end of July is a new model with up to 160-gigabytes of memory which will cost gamers 29,980 yen (341 dollars).
The company will also be releasing a PS3 with up to 320-gigabytes of memory which will cost 34,980 yen.
Both models will go on sale at the end of July in Japan only, and Sony have not yet announced plans for world distribution.
This is just the latest in the ongoing battle between Sony and Microsoft when it comes to grabbing attention of gamers, so look for a response from Microsoft in the coming months.
